The Boardwalk’s design pays homage to vintage cruisers, featuring full valanced mudguards, chrome-laced 16-inch wire-spoke wheels, and distinctive whitewall Metzeler tyres. Its wide “beach bars” handlebars not only contribute to its retro look but also provide a comfortable riding posture.
The low-slung, two-piece vinyl seat sits at just 25.9 inches, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of riders.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the Boardwalk lies Victory’s Freedom 106/6 V-twin engine — a 1,731cc (106 cubic inch) air/oil-cooled powerhouse delivering approximately 92 horsepower at 5,300 rpm and 110 lb-ft of torque at 2,900 rpm.
This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring an overdrive sixth gear, facilitating relaxed motorway cruising. The belt-driven final drive ensures smooth and low-maintenance power delivery.

Ride and Handling

The Boardwalk’s chassis is engineered for stability and comfort. Its 64.8-inch wheelbase and 32-degree rake contribute to predictable handling, while the telescopic front forks with 5.1 inches of travel and a rear mono-shock with 3 inches of travel absorb road imperfections effectively.
The wide handlebars and low centre of gravity make manoeuvring through city streets and open roads equally enjoyable.

Comfort and Ergonomics

Designed with rider comfort in mind, the Boardwalk features spacious floorboards and a relaxed seating position.
The detachable pillion seat allows for customisation between solo and two-up riding. However, some riders have noted that the stock seat may become uncomfortable during extended rides, suggesting that an aftermarket seat could enhance long-distance comfort.

Practical Features

The Boardwalk is equipped with a 4.7-gallon fuel tank, offering a respectable range for cruising. Its instrumentation includes a digital speedometer, rev counter, trip odometer, and fuel gauge, providing essential information at a glance.
Victory’s Lock & Ride® system allows for easy installation of accessories such as windscreens and saddlebags, enhancing the bike’s touring capabilities.

Legacy

Although Victory Motorcycles ceased production in 2017, the Boardwalk remains a testament to the brand’s commitment to blending classic cruiser aesthetics with modern performance. Its unique styling, combined with a powerful engine and comfortable ergonomics, ensures that the Boardwalk continues to be a sought-after model among cruiser enthusiasts.
